What is Almond Oil?
In this era of natural oils and topical remedies, almond oil is one miracle product that will not only make your skin healthier but also improve the quality of your hair, prevent some life-threatening diseases and serve as a treatment for some health challenges
Almond Oil is a carrier oil extracted from almond nuts.
The extraction is carried out by the popular cold press method, which ensures all nutrients are not denatured.

This oil owes its benefits to the generous amount of monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, potassium, proteins, zinc and some other vitamins and minerals it contains.

Almond oil Sweet
Almond oil sweet is extracted from exclusively edible almonds (Prunus amygdalus vardulcis) selectively cultivated for their sweet taste.
It is this oil that is popularly used for skin and hair care.
If you are having trouble getting rid of wrinkles or stretch marks, I recommend a daily bedtime massage of sweet almond oil on your skin.

DIY Almond Oil Recipe
While there are a lot of brands and shelved products on the market, I do not particularly subscribe to them for obvious reasons. Sometimes, these products are contaminated, and for best results from almond oils, they have to be in its purest and concentrated form.
So if you have the time, then why not try a DIY recipe.
This section will cover all you need to know about extracting pure and natural almond oil from the comfort of your home.
To perform this extraction process, you’ll need
- 2 cups of raw almonds
- Four teaspoons olive oil
- A blender/ mixer.
- A Glass container or any jar with which you can see through.
- A bottle for storage
Ensure your clean your almond through, and the almonds have gotten wholly dried.
Put your almonds in the blender and turn it on. Allow your almonds to get crushed in the blender.
Alternate the speed of the mixer regularly. Stop the blender at intervals to avoid the almond paste from sticking together.
Efficiently grind until the almond has turned into a smooth paste, free of lumps.
Afterward, add the four tablespoons of olive oil into the grinder along with the almond paste.
Turn the blender on again and allow the olive oil to blend smoothly into the almond mix.
Afterward, turn the paste out into a glass jar or any transparent container.
Allow the almond mix to cool at room temperature for between two to three weeks.
During the two to three weeks’ interval, do not touch it, allow the paste to rest.
After this time, the residue would settle, the oil would float, and you can then separate the oil from the almond residue.
After you have strained the oil, store it in a bottle for use. Remember to save it in a cool, dry place.
Also, a lot of people may be allergic to almond, and almond oil without even knowing.
